As one of the “Service Outsourcing Base Cities in China”, Nanjing will make all efforts to develop itself into a service outsourcing base city that takes the lead in China and has influence on the whole world. This objective was proposed at Nanjing International Service Outsourcing Conference held on Jun. 21st. Mr. Luo Zhijun, secretary of Nanjing Municipal Committee of the CPC, and Mr. Jiang Hongkun, mayor of Nanjing Municipality, delivered speeches at the conference.

At present, Nanjing service outsourcing industry is developing rapidly, and a large number of offshore service outsourcing enterprises, such as Fujitsu Nanda and ZTE Soft Technology, as well as service outsourcing development carriers, including Nanjing Software Park, Tengfei Park of Jingning Development Zone and Nanjing International Service Outsourcing Park, are accelerating the construction. The business scope of Nanjing service outsourcing, especially information technology outsourcing, had developed from 18 million USD in 2003 to 240 million USD last year, and there are 13 enterprises with an annual outsourcing business scope of over 1 million USD.

According to Mr. Luo Zhijun, at present, Nanjing has been confirmed as one of the service outsourcing base cities in China. From now on, Nanjing will try to attract more world-famous transnational companies so that Nanjing will has more enterprises that rank among the 10,000 large and medium-sized serving outsourcing enterprises with international recognition.
