Wuhan aims at central China outsourcing center

The first session of International Forum on China Service Outsourcing Industry Development and Cooperation was held in Wuhan, capital city of central China’s Hubei Province on April 10, 2007.

The forum attracted top 500 companies as Gartner, EDS, Bearing Point, Britain Telecom, Microsoft, NEC, NTT and famous service outsourcing companies to discuss the the development of China outsourcing industry and opportunities for Chinese IT service providers.

Currently, the global service outsourcing market stands at between 300 billion and 500 billion U.S. dollars. The market is expected to reach 1 trillion dollars in 2008. Wuhan, as an important city in central China with its location and educational advantages, has great potential in offering high-end outsourcing services.

EDS, the world's second-largest technology service provider, opened a global service center in Wuhan.
