Chinese Outsourcer expands in Xi'an

American - Chinese Outsourcer expands in Xi'an – the Terracotta Warrior City – creating a landmark call center to service the burgeoning Chinese Financial Services Industry; an action with big implications for Chinese and International Companies
 
With operations in Michigan, USA and Xian and Beijing in China, international BPO provider CompuPacific International (CPI), has drawn on North American experience and a solid Chinese presence to win a landmark BPO and Call Center deal with New China Life Insurance (NCL). 
 
This month saw the signing of a major deal under which CPI will provide a new customer service call center to deal with NCL customer enquiries, claims, and product information and will provide business process outsourcing services to NCL.  On behalf of NCL, CPI will process customer applications, administer insurance policies, and maintain customer data.   This deal brings CPI into a call center industry previously dominated by singularly domestic companies and CPI see that its American and Australian experience can lift the quality of BPO and call center delivery in China to international standards.
 
"The Call Center Industry is one of the great opportunities for BPO in China, and we see that the combination of our western experience in high quality BPO delivery and the low Chinese cost base at our production center in Xian provides an unmatched proposition for companies in the emerging financial services sector in China.  It is our plan that CPI will become the force to be reckoned with in the contact center business in China"  says Michael Liu President and CEO of CPI. 
 
Building on its international experience in the servicing of BPO clients in North America and Australasia from their large Xian BPO center, CPI is bringing best practices to the China Insurance Industry and, in particular, help companies such as NCL lay a foundation for increasing its competitiveness and supporting growth in the future. 
 
A NCL spokesperson said  "The agreement with allows NCL to adopt best industry practice in the claims processing and customer contact areas by utilizing CPI's undoubted experience and knowledge and to exploit the new Contact Center, and it also frees up our own resources to focus on product innovation and improving our distribution channels.  We firmly believe in the policy of focusing on our core competencies of product development and distribution and harnessing the core skills of others, such as CPI, in the areas of customer contact, administration and processing."   NCL choose CPI because CPI was able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the industry, the processes required, a track record of quality and delivery in the Insurance industry, the availability of a substantial processing center in Xian, and the ability to start up quickly and efficiently.  A NCL spokesman said "Throughout our dealings with CPI we have been impressed by CPI's professionalism, their capacity for innovation, and their willingness to respond quickly and effectively to our requests."
 
At the opening of the new contact center, Michael Liu said "BPO support for the financial services industry includes credit card and loan processing, account maintenance, mortgage coordination, customer service call centers, and other contributions that let banks use the most advanced technologies and concentrate on core competencies". He believes that there is a Chinese BPO advantages for Western companies, such as a growing talent pool of highly skilled workers and low labor costs. Other benefits include superior telecommunication and electric infrastructure, certified quality standards and geographic diversity for companies using service suppliers in India.
 
It is clear that CPI will become a force to be reckoned with in the Contact Center Industry in China and beyond.
