Ministry of Commerce of China: The Value of Service Outsourcing Contract from China’s Enterprises Increased 6.6% in the First Eight Months of 2015

Ministry of Commerce of China hosted routine press conference at 10am on September 16th, 2015, published the operation situation of China’s commerce in August of 2015 and answered questions from journalists.

Shen Danyang, the spokesman of Ministry of Commerce published the service outsourcing situation in China during the period of January to August at the routine press conference. According to introduction, the value of service outsourcing contracts signed by China’s enterprises is 71.65 billion USD, which increasing 6.6% year-on-year.

According to statistics, during the period from January to August, the value of service outsourcing contract signed by China’s enterprises is 71.65 billion USD, the implementation value is 53.58 billion USD, which increasing 6.6% and 12% year-on-year respectively. Among them, the value of offshore service outsourcing contracts is 45.58 billion USD, implementation value is 35.68 billion USD, which increasing 2.3% and 10.3% year-on-year respectively. The value of onshore service outsourcing contracts is 22.69 billion USD, implementation value is 15.8 billion USD, which increasing 14.9% and 15.7 year-on-year respectively. Shen Danyang indicated that there are main features of China’s service outsourcing from January to August:

1)       The eastern coastal provinces and cities constantly keep leading advantages in industry.

The first six cities undertaking offshore service outsourcing in the first eight months of 2015 are Jiangsu province, Guangdong province, Zhejiang province, Shandong province, Shanghai and Beijing respectively; the amount of offshore contract and implementation are 38.89 billion USD and 30.87 billion USD respectively, accounting for 85.3% and 86.5% of total amount in China respectively. They also keep the leading positions in whole industry. Besides that, because of increasing operation cost for enterprises, talent back-flow to inland cities, some Midwest provinces such as Hubei, Shanxi, Sichuan and Hunan have rapidly developed.

2)       The growth of service outsourcing in China undertaken from EU market has rapidly increased.

The value of offshore service outsourcing undertaken from USA, Europe, HK and Japan by China’s enterprises are 8.11 billion USD, 5.41 billion USD, 5.17 billion USD and 3.25 billion USD respectively; which increasing 8.9%, 19.2%, 14.5% and -3.4% year-on-year respectively. The growth of service outsourcing undertaken from EU market by China’s enterprises is far higher than from other markets that is important point of developing international market in 2015.
