21st Century Publishing House

21st Century Publishing House was founded in February 1985.Its predecessor is Jiangxi Juvenile & Children's Publishing House. The current name was adopted in February 1989.It mainly publishes juvenile books, periodicals and the relevant electronic products, especially good at producing juvenile and children's literature, comics, and picture books. Its yearly output exceeds 900 titles. In 2006 its distribution amounted to RMB Yuan 250 million, achieving rather big market coverage. After years' endeavour, it has established several famous brands, which include Great Fantasy, Colourful Crow, Reading Pleasure and Magic Hands. Represented by Big View of Chinese Culture, over 100 titles have won national and local prizes. Journals like Big Grey Wolf, Little Stars and Composition 100, Memory Album, Splendid Showing Start, Moon and Reading MOOK are the fresh activists under its flag.

To achieve the supernormal development of the enterprise, 21st Century Publishing House established the second publishing center in Beijing, and set up a book editorial department in Shanghai, thus forming the new publication layout of South and North supporting each other in coordination, and the three places interacting with each other.

It adopted a brand-new sales model and published An Ideal City, Glory Day, Pipilu's Story, A Love Story in Angel Street 23, Fairy's Magic and many other best sellers, became a famous publishing house in China.

21st Century Publishing House attaches great importance to international and inter-regional cooperation and communication. It has established close relationship with many famous presses, such as Shogakukan Inc. and Poplar Publishing Co., Ltd. in Japan, Juvenile & Children's Literature Institute and Thienemann Publishing House in German, Random House in the United States, I-seum in Korea, etc. It has introduced and published more than 600 kinds of foreign books, among which Survival Series, Momo, Krabat, Colourful Crow series, 4 1/2 Friends, Pocket Monster Series and Doraemon Colorful Series have become popular books all over China. At the same time, copyrights of many original works have been licensed to overseas publishers. Such as Big View of Chinese Culture, Pipilu's Story, Laozi and Dao Teh Ching, Fairy's Magic, Ding Dang's Magic, etc.
